. ABOUT US
"Dedicated to Discipline, Committed to Excellence"
The Baramati Karate Association was founded in 2012 by Mr. Ravindra Balkrishna Karale, with a vision to promote the sport of karate and support karate practitioners in Baramati. Even before the association was officially registered, Mr. Karale, along with his fellow karate enthusiasts, organized grand state-level karate tournaments and various camps for local athletes starting from 2006.
Baramati Karate Association History....
Officially registered in 2012, the Baramati Karate Association has been recognized as the official organization to host school-level, taluka-level, district-level, and division-level karate competitions on behalf of the Directorate of Sports and Youth Services, Government of Maharashtra. Excluding the two years of lockdown, our association has had the honor of organizing these competitions consecutively for eight years, from 2014 to 2023.
Under the guidance of our esteemed President, Mrs. Sharmila Vahinisahib Pawar, we successfully organized state-level school karate competitions for three consecutive years: 2018-19, 2019-20, and 2022-23. Additionally, inspired by the leagues of cricket, kabaddi, wrestling, and hockey, we have organized the Maharashtra Karate League for the past three years. This prestigious event, with a total prize fund of 11 lakh rupees and a total expenditure of 40 lakh rupees, continues to grow in popularity.
In September 2023, we were honored to organize the 44th State Level Championship Karate Competition 2023-24, under the aegis of the Maharashtra Karate Association, which is recognized and affiliated with the Maharashtra Olympic Association.
